Rion Homes recognizes that your home is a personal reflection of you and your family.  Creating your home should be a personal and intimate process.  We believe there are three distinct but equally important stages of that process.

Planning Process:

Our approach to home building and remodeling is the same.  First, we want to get to know you.  We want to clearly understand your goals, your family’s priorities and your dreams.  This is accomplished through pre-budget meetings with the owner, Nicole, our construction staff and some of our critical trade partners.  A proposal, which includes the construction budget, is then developed through a detailed study and take off of your plans and initial selections.  You may have a set of plans at our first meeting or we may work together creating or adapting the plans with our designer.  Either way, your construction budget will be based off of the construction blueprints and will include allowances based on what you know you want in your home and committed pricing on a number of materials and services.  No one wants surprises during the construction process and Rion Homes, with thorough planning, will eliminate a majority of the usual pitfalls.

Construction  Process:

With contracts signed and financing in place, we begin,  right?  No, not until you have met with our construction manager to review the house location on the lot, mark trees that must be preserved or walk through your existing home to review the step by step construction plan for your renovation.  With permits in place, we now begin!

1. Clearing, grading, footings and foundation
 (a) Demolition and/or addition foundation
2.  Framing, roofing
3.  Pre-trade walk through to locate special electrical needs, and confirm selections
4.  Trade contractors rough plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other wiring
5.  Insulation
6.  Drywall
7.  Trim carpentry, cabinets, countertops, flooring, and paint
8.  Lighting and plumbing fixtures, HVAC, appliances
9.  Final paint, carpet and cleaning
10. Walk through with construction manager and owner
11. Final punch out and final clean

Customer Assurance Process:

Your home is complete and furniture in place.  Rion Homes’ final stage of the process begins.  On a new home you will receive a 10 year warranty provide by the builder through a third party home warranty company.  At 90 days and at 11 months you will have an opportunity to present a list of warranty concerns.  We expect you to find areas that need some touch up.  Nail pops and cracks in caulking are anticipated during the first year as your home adjusts to the variable conditions of each season. We are pleased to return and handle these for you.  You will also receive contact information for many of our trade partners who warranty their workmanship and materials for the first year.  If there is an urgent situation with any of the systems in your home, you may call directly or contact Rion Homes.

Our customers are as important to us three years from the day they move in as they are the day we sign a contract.  Lake Norman is our home as well and you will always be our neighbor.
